Exmouth mum Michelle Potter undertook a ‘Because I Can Challenge’ to raise money for local charity Dream-A-Way.

Michelle swam 22 miles in swimming pool lengths to complete her challenge.

Michelle said :

“I was delighted to reach my target in the pool and I chased everyone for sponsor money and even my daughter Shannon generously donated £5 !
Dream-A-Way is such a brilliant charity and I was pleased I could support them
Thank you to everyone who sponsored me or helped me”

Whilst doing so she had hoped to raise £400 to support Dream-A-Way but due to her achievement and the generosity of her friends and relatives she reached an amazing fundraising total of almost £700 !

Chair Jeff Merrett MBE said :

“Despite Michelle’s own disabilities she took on this terrific challenge and smashed it !
She should be really proud of her achievement and to raise £700 really is spectacular and will help more Devon people’s dreams to come true. Well done Michelle and thank you to everyone that supported her”
