Following the success of the Exeter Police & Hospital Players 30th Anniversary Panto – Alice in Wonderland – in January, our Jeff was delighted to accept their £2,500 donation cheque for Dream-A-Way. The show was a was a great success and was well received by audiences setting a new record for ticket sales.
Vice Chair of The Players Sylvia Costigan said: “I would like to thank everyone who came along to the show and helped us raise such a brilliant amount of money for a fantastic cause. I would also like to thank everyone who took part including the band, backstage crew, lighting, make up, choreography, props, technicians and costumes, you all played your part in making this a success, thank you also to our Chair Darren Galliford. We hope you will continue to support us and we may see some of you in 2018.”
Dream-A-Way chair Jeff, who played the Dame – school mistress Ology – in this year’s panto said: “After nearly 7 years absence, I was delighted to return to the Police and Hospital Players as the Dame. It was a brilliant show with a terrific cast, band and backstage crew. The performances were made even more enjoyable by the wonderful audiences who cheered, hissed and booed in all the right places!
This is a tremendous amount of money and every penny will be used to put smiles on even more local faces. Huge thanks to everyone who helped in any way.”
