Dream-A-Way are delighted to have helped to make a very special dream come true for a lovely couple.
Devoted Exmouth couple, Jill and Peter Lewis have just taken their first ever cruise and 
cannot stop talking about their holiday of a lifetime.
Jill heard about Dream-A-Way through her carers network and their good friend, the late David Turner who was a Dream-A-Way Ambassador.
They applied for a grant to help to fund a Dream Holiday and when Jeff told them that this had been approved they were “ecstatic and over the moon and immediately felt our spirits lifted”
Jill visited Hays travel in Exmouth and was extremely proud that with their enthusiastic help she was able to plan and book the cruise herself. Jill and Peter both have major health problems and were delighted to hear that there was excellent medical care on board should this be needed.
They chose a Spring cruise to visit Athens , Greece and Turkey which , In Jill’s words , “was the best holiday ever in my life, it felt like paradise, it was absolutely stunning , just completely beautiful from start to finish”.
Jill has several highlights they both remember well .
The amazing food and excellent care 
and attention from the crew, the stunning views and sights seen and an amazing journey in a wheelchair adapted water taxi to visit beautiful Mykonos in Greece were just a few.
Other lasting ones were being told by the crew that she was “glowing” on the last evening’s party and , very importantly, “Peter felt like my husband again, not just my carer “.
The health benefits for them both were wonderful. As Jill suffers from fibromyalgia cold, damp weather decreases her mobility.
Whilst away in the warmth and sun she became able to move her body and legs and even dress herself. Just amazing.
There has been an ongoing benefit which will stay with them forever in the form of some wonderful memories.

Dream-A-Way really do consider it such an honour to be able to help such lovely families and with our love and determination and some amazing support from local people ,we hope to be able to do this for many more local people like Jill and Peter for very many years to come
