As the coach arrived the excitement mounted, there was even a glimmer of the sun pushing through the clouds.
Everyone disembarked and headed in their own direction to enjoy the grounds, have a quiet coffee or to finalise preparations.
Just prior to noon we all gathered in the Orangery – the tables all laid beautiful, better still, each setting had an Easter Egg 🙂
Soon we’d all found our place names and dinner was served either a fab Roast dinner or tasty cheese ploughmans
The noise level lowered as cutlery clicked on porcelain amongst giggles and chatter, I’m sure I heard the opening of an Easter Egg or two – resistance becoming too great!
As the food was finished we had a late arriver – a huge “human” sized duck!
He created a high level of excitement and enjoyment as he was eager to give friendly hugs and pose for photos 🙂
Now was the moment eagerly awaited, the all important raffle … excitement!!!
With Fingers crossed, tickets at the ready!
Wow, so many ‘amazing’ prizes, so many whoops of joy (or growns of despair!) as prize after prize was won!
How had I lived so long without a shimmering tie!
The highlight must of been a Jeremy Clarkson book signed by ‘Jeremy’!
After a quick calm down and delicious ice cream many of us headed for the train.
The temperature may not have been great but we had a fab time singing some well loved tunes as the train meandered around the estate.
All too soon it was all over, how could the day pass so quickly? It was time for last goodbyes to friends of old and those newly formed before heading back to the coach – until next time … goodbye and thank you Dream-A-Way for another amazing day out in Devon
