Dream-A-Way is pleased to announce the creation of ‘Friends of Dream-A-Way’. The purpose of this initiative is to set up a register of people who want to be associated with Dream-A-Way and would like to support us to achieve our aims. Anyone can join Friends by completing the application form and registering with us. Your details will never be disclosed to anyone else. You can find more information on becoming a friend below.
What is it?
The Friends of Dream-A-Way (“Friends”) group was created to enable anyone who wants to support Dream-A-Way to achieve its objectives.
This is especially useful for those who may not have enough time to commit themselves to being a Dream-A-Way committee member.
What do Friends do?
Friends can help Dream-A-Way in lots of ways including:
- Attending fundraising events
- Helping at social functions
- Selling tickets for fundraising events
- Selling draw tickets
- Placing collecting boxes in shops or retail outlets
- Providing draw prizes
- Providing auction items
- Collecting stamps and toner cartridges
- Collecting old mobile phone handsets
- Direct financial donations
Friends of Dream-A-Way is currently on hold whilst we review the best ways that our supporters can help us. We still need your help though, so if you would like to assist – no matter how big or small the input you can offer – we would be very appreciative of your support.
Remember:
Dream-A-Way is one of only a very small number of charities where almost every penny of every pound raised is used directly to pay for the holidays and outings that our clients enjoy.
No one on the committee or any of the Trustees claim any expenses or take any payments of any kind. We are all working as volunteers.
